Description : Whitworth Tool, Inc.
Role : HR Assistant
Whitworth Tool, Inc. is a precision machining, job shop, and die services business with about 120 employees and customers across the USA.
Due to recent and projected business and headcount growth, we are hiring an HR Assistant to work for and with our HR Manager.
This is an entry level role with no prior experience required.
Duties :
Perform routine HR administrative tasks, including weekly payroll, vacation requests, performance evaluations, etc. as needed
Produce routine HR reports
Schedule drug tests for current or prospective employees
Assist manager with the coordination of company meals, picnics, etc.
Maintains supply of pre-employment paperwork, orientation packets and employee handbooks
Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, and leaves
Other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager
Requirements : Qualifications :
Must be a “people person,” genuinely caring for the well-being of each of our employees
Must have high integrity and be absolutely trustworthy, discrete in helping to handle challenging employee situations
Must be well-organized, receptive to direction but also able to take initiative to see and address improvement opportunities
Must have good general computer skills and interpersonal communications
Must quickly learn Paylocity HR system and JobBOSS2 ERP. Prior experience with computer systems preferred and prior experience with Paylocity and / or JobBOSS2 would be very helpful but not required
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong preference for applicants who already live within half hour drive of Whitworth site in Hardinsburg; very helpful if already a part of the Hardinsburg community
No heavy lifting (over 35 lbs.) is expected
No travel is expected
Must pass drug test and background test required of all new Whitworth employees
