Job Overview
The HR Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the HR Manager, ensuring seamless execution of various tasks and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine HR administrative tasks, including payroll processing, vacation requests, and performance evaluations as needed
- Generate routine reports for HR purposes
- Schedule drug tests for current or prospective employees
- Assist the HR Manager with event planning, including company meals and picnics
- Maintain a supply of pre-employment paperwork, orientation packets, and employee handbooks
- Prepare and maintain employment records related to hiring, termination, and leaves
- Other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A genuine care for the well-being of each employee
- High integrity and trustworthiness in handling sensitive employee situations
- Excellent organizational skills, receptivity to direction, and the ability to take initiative to improve processes
- Good general computer skills and effective interpersonal communication
- Ability to quickly learn Paylocity HR system and JobBOSS2 ERP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong preference for applicants already living within a half-hour drive of Whitworth's site in Hardinsburg
- No heavy lifting (over 35 lbs.) is expected, and no travel is anticipated
- Must pass a required background test
