Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and water safety to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Duties:
- Conduct swim lessons in accordance with established curriculum and guidelines
- Provide individualized instruction based on each student's abilities and goals
- Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and floating
- Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Plan and organize lesson plans to ensure effective use of time
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area
Skills:
- Strong swimming and/or teaching skills with a knowledge of various swimming strokes
- Previous experience as a Swim Instructor or lifeguard helps but is not needed - this is a great entry level opportunity for anyone who wants to get into teaching!
- Ability to effectively communicate and educate students of all ages
- Patience and ability to work with individuals with different learning styles
- Knowledge of water safety practices and emergency procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good customer service skills
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience in other sports is great
- Childcare experience
Note: This is a paid position. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
