What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Group Home Manager (008) position at Whole Life, Inc.?
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager for our Leighton Group Home located in Bridgeport, CT. This is a professional position with the overall responsibility for assisting the operation and supervision of the group home.
Assistant Managers are a critical link between the people we support and the community.
Assistant Managers assist the Group Home Manager as needed. Assistant Manager also provide Direct Support to the people we serve and are on shift with DSP's to run the daily operations of the home.
Qualifications:
· Minimum high school diploma or GED is required; secondary education preferred
· Excellent communication, social, teaching and interpersonal skills
· Preference for candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience supporting individuals with I/DD
· Previous experience with successful problem-solving and team building
· Proven ability to work successfully with resource staff, external stakeholders and consultants
· Valid driver’s license in good standing
High School Diploma/GED
· Successful background check
· Supervisory experience preferred; demonstrated strong leadership and good judgement
Job Type: Full-time
