We are hiring a Production Chemist to prepare batches that meet product specifications and create new product formulations to support R&D and new product development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Calculate formulations for hemp products based on raw material certificate of analysis from supplier
• Hands-on batching of formulations
• Perform routine testing on samples on in-house HPLC and adjust formulation to ensure products meet specifications
• Facilitate the development of new formulas supporting R&D for new products such as flavor development.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of formulations, procedures, observations, and results
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; identify problems when equipment fails and conducts or recommends repairs.
• Revise and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
• Manage ingredient inventory
• Identify and recommend improvements to processes to maintain quality, cost-effectiveness, regulatory and safety compliance
• Provide assistance to production technicians as needed
• Maintain clean, orderly and safe laboratory work area
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and change.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science field required
• Preparing samples and operating HPCL test equipment
• Food science or flavor development

Physical Requirement:

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
