The Wholeness 2 Peace Care Services Direct Support Program (DSP) provides services that focus on helping families and children develop and improve essential skills. Our services include child and home management, behavior modification, social skills training, and crisis intervention. The primary mode of service delivery is home, school-based, and occasionally at the Agency’s facility.
The Behavior Coach (BC) will play a critical role in helping children and families overcome behavioral challenges by developing and implementing personalized behavior intervention plans. The BC will have a sincere interest in working with children, demonstrate emotional stability, mature judgment, and view families as partners with strengths.
Education and Experience
- B.A. or Associate Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience working with children in a behavioral health setting or similar environments that require behavior modification strategies.
- Experience working with diverse populations is highly desirable.
- Direct experience implementing behavior modification plans for children and youth.
- Familiarity with community resources in Maricopa County is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Work one-on-one with children and youth to provide behavioral coaching and support, helping them improve specific behaviors, social skills, and overall emotional regulation.
- Develop, implement, and adjust Behavior Intervention Plans in accordance with the client's treatment plan, under the supervision of our clinicians
- Collaborate with the client’s Child and Family Team (CFT) to track progress and ensure goals are being met.
- Teach and reinforce positive behaviors to children, including techniques for emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and social interaction.
- Attend Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and contribute to treatment planning and adjustments.
- Monitor and document client progress through detailed record-keeping and progress notes.
- Communicate regularly with families to discuss goals, progress, and strategies to use at home.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other educational activities as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards at all times.
Employment Requirements
- The BC must pass the Department of Public Safety fingerprint check IVP,
- Complete the orientation, and all other required training.
- Have a valid Arizona Driver’s license, and auto insurance. Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age.
Position details:
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering great flexibility. The contractor will set their own schedule and can expect to work between 15 to 40 hours per week, depending on the client load.
- Travel is apart of employment. The contractor will be required to visit clients' locations regularly, with the frequency determined by each client's specific needs.
Compensation:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The pay range for this role is $18 to $25 per hour. This role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule and the opportunity to make a substantial impact in the community.
