The Transportation Planning Analyst is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods across the supply chain, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient transportation and distribution of products. This role involves managing relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers, overseeing inventory levels, and ensuring smooth delivery operations both domestically and internationally. The specialist will analyze stock levels, track shipments, and collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve any issues related to delays, inventory discrepancies, or transportation challenges. Additionally, the position requires the use of logistics software to monitor performance, track KPIs, and identify opportunities for process improvementsResponsibilitiesEnsure optimal inventory levels across all WG warehouses, third-party logistics providers (3PLs).Regularly analyze stock levels for new products, identify sales spikes, and promptly communicate any significant changes to the supply planning team for further action.3PL and Carrier Management : Build and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight companies, and local carriers.Monitor carrier performance, address any service disruptions, and resolve delivery delays or issues promptly.Communication : Act as a point of contact for internal teams and customers regarding transportation and distribution issues.Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on inventory levels and delivery schedules.Data Entry & Reporting : Prepare regular reports on transportation performance, costs, inventory levels, and any irregularities.Provide insights and analysis to management regarding trends in delivery times, costs, and overall logistics performanceQualifications & SkillsHigh School diploma or equivalent (Required)2 years of experience in transportation and distribution, ideally in retailStrong knowledge of logistics software, and ERP systems.Exceptional problem-solving, and analytical skills.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with different departments.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excel Skills (Vlookup, Light Pivot Table work, Organization)Professional demeanor and ability to interact with colleagues to further like minded goalsStrong attention to detail
