Wholey's Market Grocery Store Manager

Wholey's Market, is celebrating 112 years in the heart of the Strip District and has an immediate opening for an experienced Store Manager with at least 8 years of retail management experience.

If so, this is the perfect job for you. As our Store Manager, you set the example of superior guest service for TeamMates. As a leader, your goal is to strengthen TeamMate engagement, increase retention, and maximize productivity, while making optimal business decisions to deliver results.

What You'll Do:

You are the store ambassador and are responsible for providing extraordinary service and hospitality to our guests and for ensuring that all TeamMates do the same. You are also accountable for driving success at the store and helping Wholey's to sustain growth.

• Educate TeamMates and guests on products and services to provide new and convenient meal solutions.
• Work with Department Managers to ensure that key operational processes and merchandising plans are consistently executed.
• Drive success by analyzing movement reports, P&L reports, and other metrics to establish and execute the action plan.
• Establish and maintain open lines of communication with TeamMates and other management, ensuring transparency at all levels.
• Forecast and maintain staffing by conferring with Human Resources in the sourcing, selecting, and hiring of new TeamMates.
• Train, develop and coach Assistant Managers and TeamMates.
• Guide Assistant Managers on how to manage and merchandise Wholey's products, utilizing financial metrics, and similarly training and engaging TeamMates.
• Work with TeamMates how to optimize operations, further team development, and increase retention.
• Motivate TeamMates to educate themselves and others about product uses and characteristics.
• Partner with the Human Resources Manager in providing new TeamMates a welcoming orientation and onboarding experience.
• Manage the store, inventories, and departments for minimization of product loss.
• Ensure that your TeamMates are adhering to Wholey's policies and procedures.
• Engage with our community for weekly sales and special holiday offerings.
• Ensure department adherence to safety requirements and Safety Committee guidelines, including food safety, sanitation, and risk practices per Wholey's policies,
• This is a floor working position and not a desk job.

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible day schedule, including weekends. You'll be home every night by 6:00pm as the store closes at 5:00pm each day. You'll have off and paid for the 6 major holidays, so you can enjoy them with family and friends since we are closed on those holidays.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of experience as a retail store manager in relevant traffic, volume, and unit intensity.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Proven oral and written communication skills that allow for productive communication with your team, management, and guests.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow policies and procedures.

Preferred qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree
• Perishable, Hospitality and/or Grocery Retail experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,000.00 per year
