What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermediate Landscape Architect position at Why Architecture?
WHY is a Los Angeles and New York City-based firm known for architecture, landscape design and urban planning projects that engage issues of culture and the environment with vision and pragmatism. The landscape workshop within WHY is a team of curious, energetic designers who excel at creative thinking, artistry and collaboration. Current projects include a variety of public and private projects including an international competition winning project in Toronto, projects in the Middle East and Scotland, multiple residences in California, as well as exciting research projects.
The landscape team is seeking a senior landscape architect with 5-8 years of experience to be based in either the New York or Los Angeles offices. Designer will lead teams on projects in all design phases. Applicants should be self-motivated with strong communication skills and be good at working independently. Applicants should also have skills necessary for a fast-paced landscape studio including development of ideas, presentation drawings and model making. Salary commensurate with experience.
