MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn how to assign, produce, write and edit multimedia news stories
- Have the opportunity to create original content
- Learn to pitch ideas and communicate why a piece will work
- Hone news judgment
- Work in a deadline-driven environment and learn to operate under pressure
- Have an experience that will foster interpersonal skills, quick and creative writing and exacting copy skills.
- Learn how to report and produce stories for radio and digital audiences, including acquiring audio editing skills with potential for voicing experience.
- Work will include collaborating with and shadowing reporters and editors.
Qualifications
Intern candidates should have demonstrated experience in journalism, radio/multi-media preferred. They should also be assertive and comfortable calling people on the phone to help secure people for show interviews. They must be a fast learner on the technical side. Strong writing skills required. Web design skills and some basic understanding of video production and editing processes a plus.

- A letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to your relevant experience, background, skills and/or work ethic.
*Individual must be a current junior or senior undergraduate student, graduate student or recent graduate (no more than three years from graduation date).
