Hybrid: Remote on Mondays and Fridays. In office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

An advocate of user-centered design who work on UX projects as assigned by the Lead UX Designer.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in interaction design, new media design or related design field

· 2 years’ in user experience design for business-to-business (B2B) software or SaaS companies

· Demonstrated strength designing for various site types such as administrative, informational, and/or transactional, delivered on at least 2 platforms (mobile, tablet, and/or browser-based)

· Experience in user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies

· Experience with various design tools, such as Axure, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.

· Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Rails, Angular, JavaScript/JQuery; ObjectiveC (iOS), C (Android) desired

CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION / CRITICAL ELEMENTS: Position’s Focus?

1. Understanding the Customer (25%)

· Conduct customer usability testing using in-person and remote prototype testing, task analysis, interviews and other methods

· Maintain interaction pattern libraries

· Gather and convert user feedback into meaningful data to drive actionable improvement efforts.

2. Translating Conceptual Ideas into Engaging, Quality Experiences (45%)

· Develop subject matter expertise in areas of visual design, usability, and optimization across a variety of site types (administrative, informational, and transactional).

· Create storyboards, flow maps, sketches, wireframes, mockups, animations, prototypes, and live code that implements new design features.

· Gauge and evaluate existing features and flows continually; determine and implement subsequent UX-related improvement efforts.

· Enable design optimization for access through various channels (mobile, tablet, browser-based).

· Achieve and sustain acceptable scores for System Usability and Customer Satisfaction.

· Maintain minimal error occurrence rates across sites and channels.

3. Collaboration with POs and other Internal Stakeholders (30%)

· Share ideas, plans, initiatives, and issues effectively to relevant stakeholders.

· Identify and suggest workflow improvements.

· Build accessibility / ADA compliance into all aspects of our platform.

· Communicate brand standards, style guides, and visual design systems on various projects.

· Contribute to user experience initiatives such as brand refreshes and provide guidance throughout the development cycle.

· Contribute to completion of required digital brand refresh (public facing site and product portal).
