Job Summary
Coordinates administrative services for one (1) or more human resources functional areas.
Essential Functions
Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and implements processes which assist in the administration of one (1) or more human resource functions. Assists with cross-functional initiatives utilizing best practice methods. Conducts specific project research to address concerns and service needs. May lead projects or provide training to staff, as needed. Provides prompt resolution or assists with resolution of program, policy or procedure issues or inquiries. Gathers and processes data, conducts basic data analysis, and assists in the development of reports and recommendations.
Job Duties
Support benefits team. Assist employees with enrollment, life changes, and benefits questions. Educate employees on benefits programs, tuition assistance, retirement, and leave. Ensure accurate payroll deductions for benefits are applied. Assist employees with retirement plan contributions, withdrawals, understanding plan rules/limits.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in human resources or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong adaptable communication skills with the ability to coach, counsel and work in partnership with a variety of individuals
- Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness in researching customer/employee inquiries
- Strong knowledge of and ability to apply state and federal regulations and policy and procedure related to employee benefits plans
- Strong critical thinking skills to interpret employee benefit plan policy and procedure pertaining to individual employee situations and provide guidance and education
- Ability to create and lead educational forums related to employee benefits
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience administering employee benefits, retirement plans and leave.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
