About the Role:
The Financial Systems Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support financial operations, business analytics, and budget execution processes. This role involves working closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to optimize reporting tools, automate workflows, and enhance system functionality. This remote opportunity is for individuals with experience in development technologies using the .NET framework. Financial experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience related to system development and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience with microservice architecture and modular design
- Experience developing financial system solutions preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP financials experience preferred
- Oracle, Git, MS PowerBI, patch management and release management experience required
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or SQL, with an emphasis on financial application development.
- Strong understanding of financial data structures, budgeting principles, and reporting standards
- Public Trust Clearance eligibility
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ongoing support for financial management applications using C, .NET, VB.NET
- Support and receive technical guidance from the Project Manager and the Senior Software Engineer
- Work with the Project Manager and Sr. Engineer to ensure work is completed in a satisfactory and timely manner
- Design and implement automation scripts, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data security policies.
- Collaborate with financial analysts, business managers, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain API integrations with third-party financial and reporting tools.
Skills:
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Business Objects.
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data warehousing techniques.
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and automation scripting.
- Knowledge of federal budgeting processes and compliance standards
- Knowledge of financial data structures, budgeting principles, and business intelligence reporting.
- Knowledge of RESTful API development and system integrations with financial and business management platforms
- Experience with ERP systems, budgeting software, and business process automation.
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
