What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Veterinary Technician position at WICKHAM ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND BOARDING?
Wickham Animal Hospital was built in 1979 and has become an established member of the local community. We have an energetic, fast paced 2 doctor practice with an attached boarding facility. We have gone paperless, and run the hospital via Avimark software.
We are looking for an experienced technician with at least 3 years experience in a veterinary animal hospital; pay is based on experience inside of a veterinary hospital. Our technicians are encouraged to utilize their skills and to continue to learn. They run rooms independently, draw blood, perform lab tests such as fecals, blood smears, UAs, and run the in house blood analyzers; they also place catheters, induce and monitor anesthesia, assist with dentals, and occasionally scrub in with the surgeon. We have digital radiology, in house blood analyzers, and ultrasound... all of the fun toys a technician could hope for! This is not the type of hospital where all you get to do is restrain animals all day - we are constantly moving and learning!

We are open 7:30-6 M, T, W, F, 8-4 on Thursday, and 8-11:30 on Saturday. We are looking for a full time experienced technician that is enthusiastic and who shares our love of veterinary medicine.
