The Associate Equipment Operator for Solid Waste is responsible for operating a variety of heavy duty equipment and specialized equipment used in the maintenance and/or construction of dredge sites, borrow areas, and landfill operations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Experience in landfill and recycling operations preferred; Valid CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred; Working knowledge of the safe operation of various makes and types of heavy duty construction equipment; Working knowledge of landfill regulations and engineering as they apply to maintenance & construction using such equipment; Working knowledge of maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and related engines; Ability to obtain NIMS certifications; Ability to follow instructions; Willingness to be on call 24 hours per day for emergencies; and Ability to pass background check and drug testing.

Pay: $34,000.00 - $40,734.00 per year
