Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities within the construction sector. The Project Coordinator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Utilize construction management software and tools such as All Google Docs for project tracking and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and pricing of contracts, change orders, and project documentation.
- Facilitate communication between team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all parties are informed of project progress.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets to identify potential issues or delays.
- Support the preparation of construction estimates and bids as needed.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management or coordination within the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
- Strong skills in time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Experience with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of project management software, specifically Primavera or similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A degree in Construction Management or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
