Wieland is hiring a

Casting Operator.

The Casting Operator will operate

the

furnace

to melt and refine metal to produce

copper ingots.

Starting Pay: 25.00

Schedule: Rotating Shifts

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Casting Operator Responsibilities:

• Replenish casting consumables and raw materials and notify of low stock.
• Direct foundry technicians during the shift to assist in the casting operation.
• Prep pour spout
• Monitor furnace operation
• Set-up caster
• Cast heat and shutdown
• Respond to emergencies and make decisions quickly and efficiently. Time is of
  
  

the essence in casting.

• Effectively and immediately communicate problems, safety issues, and quality deficiencies.
• Completes scheduled checks for spotting any malfunctions and unsafe conditions and
  
  

reports and corrects them.

• Must keep the work area clean, follow all safety guidelines and PPE regulations, and perform
  
  

basic machine maintenance.

• All other duties assigned during shifts.
  
  

Casting Operator Qualifications

• 3 years of manufacturing experience
• 3 years of forklift experience
• 1 years of heavy equipment operation
• Ability to work from verbal instructions
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Good technical aptitude
• Computer literate
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• High School Diploma
• Positive Attitude
• Excellent attendance
