Wieland is hiring a Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the operational results of the business entity, including day to day areas of safety, quality, delivery and financial performance of the organization. In addition, the Operations Manager is responsible to execute the strategies to achieve the goals of the organization, driving continuous Improvement. Drive the growth of a newly established business unit in a dynamic environment. Building a high performing team, establish stable processes and supply chain, as well as starting up new equipment and developing its automation. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Satisfy customer expectations for quality, delivery, cost and performance of products and services.
- Align organizational results and plans with the overall corporate strategic vision and plans.
- Reinforce the company’s core cultural values and lead in safety, behavior and performance by example.
- Develop a high performing organization fostering continuous improvement and Lean Thinking.
- Assure production efficiency by maximizing OEE.
- Key contact person for internal and external stakeholders.
- Allocate resources effectively, identify talent and develop employees.
- Improve KPIs by developing corrective actions and prioritizing tasks.
- Balance operation between high volume commercial and highly engineered aerospace production.
Operations Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Operations/Management or other related fields.
- 5 years of management experience in automated CNC high volume manufacturing.
- Proven track record of a successful safety and performance-oriented leadership style.
- Strong background in strategy execution and problem solving.
- The personality and communication skills to manage change throughout all departments and levels.
- Demonstrated skills in continuous improvement & extensive knowledge of LEAN.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people-management skills.
- High level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the ability to access and handle ITAR “Technical Data” as defined by 22 CFR § 120.33 is an essential function.
