Overview
The position is responsible for managing the company’s sales and operations planning process, which involves creating and executing plans that optimize the production, inventory & distribution of goods and services. Works closely with sales, operations and the finance teams to drive consensus decisions related to conflicting preferences of the supply and demand side of the supply chain. The S&OP analyst will help drive the process and lead the Demand and Supply review as part of the monthly SIOP.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional demand & supply reviews as part of the monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process
- Present long-term SIOP demand/supply plan scenarios (including forecasting, shipment, inventory, and capacity) that maximize our ability to meet unconstrained demand and financial goals
- Help in the development of new business S&OP processes.
- Communicate plan risks to leadership and track risk mitigation actions
- Create and maintain long-term production plans balancing cross-functional input from business development/sales, program management, finance, production, supply chain, and engineering
- Create and maintain sales & inventory forecasts and strategies
- Work with Operations to understand capacity constraints with production/space.
- Build consensus-based forecasts with the commercial team, focus on forecasting accuracy.
- Drive MRP data accuracy initiatives for effective supply planning, including updating the master schedule based on SIOP production plan changes
- Provide feedback on lead time (including capacity constraints) during proposals process
- Work with finance to understand capital budget, net working capital, and revenue / margin impacts of capacity, inventory, and production plan changes
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated competence in cross-functional leadership, teamwork and communication skills
- Analytical skills and data-driven mindset
- Master Production Scheduling,
- Advanced or expert Excel skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Experience using ERP and Business Intelligence tools
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years' experience in demand or supply planning, master scheduling, inventory planning, production scheduling, or capacity planning role
Preferred:
- Experience leading to the implementation of a new demand or supply planning process, master scheduling, or capacity planning process
- APICS certification
