Responsibilities
- Manage and follow up on overdue accounts through phone calls and written correspondence.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
- Utilize financial software to track payments, update account information, and generate reports.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions with clients regarding their accounts.
- Collaborate with team members to improve collection strategies and processes.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to collections.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in debits and credits, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software and financial software applications is preferred. Experience with Juris is preferred.
- Strong math skills for accurate calculations and account analysis.
- Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with clients.
- Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining a positive rapport with clients.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
- Strong MS Office skills. Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred.
- Background in legal or medical billing and collections is preferred.
