Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer will play a critical role in driving strategic growth and business expansion into new locations. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to implement expansion plans and develop strategic partnerships while maintaining the high standards of day-to-day operations across our locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and execution of strategic growth initiatives
• Managing new location expansions and integrating new acquisitions into existing operations
• Supervising product distribution, storage, sales, and service activities to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
• Providing strategic guidance on propane supply, transport, and customer acquisition
• Coordinating workforce and material needs to meet seasonal demands
• Maintaining the company's vehicle fleet, including scheduling preventative maintenance and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations

Secondary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service-related activities, including customer care, scheduling, and invoicing
• Develop and implement efficient service processes and workflows
• Maintain DOT compliance and other safety requirements
• Handle work orders, requisition parts, instruments, and other service-related activities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
• Be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Qualifications

• CTEP certification a plus, but can acquire once employed
• Valid Class A or B CDL, or willing to obtain
• Hazardous Materials, Air Brakes, and Tanker endorsements, or willing to obtain
• Working knowledge of DOT safety requirements
• Proficiency with technology and back-office systems
• Strong self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and growth initiatives
• Experience working in propane distribution is preferred, but not required
