What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Wild Adventures Theme Park?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain an aesthetically pleasing, sanitary environment both indoors and outdoors in all guest view and back areas
- Ensure the walkways and streets are cleared of debris, leaves, and dirt each scheduled / operating morning by using a backpack blower
- Prepare parking lot and park for operation by removing all trash and debris from public areas, including walkways, trash receptacles, landscaped areas, etc.
- Sweep all park walkways and remove trash and debris from benches, tables, and landscaped areas
- Empty and wipe down all park trashcans
- Collect and empty refuse and recyclable material throughout the park and all buildings, discarding the materials in designated dumpsters or bins
- Follow all SDS guidelines for all products used
- Maintain clean work areas and storage closest areas
- Assist with group picnics / events as assigned
- Assist the Park Services Team Lead with daily, monthly, and yearly operations as necessary
- Report any unsafe actions or areas or any needed repairs to your team lead / supervisor
- Work cooperatively with all departments and assist as necessary
- Perform all duties within quality and efficiency standards
- Maintain a groomed look and good personal hygiene, including wearing a clean WA uniform
- Must be willing to work outside his or her zone of assignment to fulfill general park needs on occasion
- Ensure compliance with all Herschend Family Entertainment and Wild Adventures policies and procedures
- Represents the company to guests and other team members in a positive and friendly manner
- Satisfies Wild Adventure's standards for performance and conduct. For example, reports to work regularly and on time
- Create Memories Worth Repeating" for our Guests by exceeding guest expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT : The position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and the presence of dust and odors. Team Members are susceptible to the exposure of various chemicals, bodily fluids and blood-borne pathogens, prolonged exposure to sunlight or rainy conditions
