Wild Birds Unlimited® is the first and largest franchise system of retailing stores catering to the backyard nature enthusiast throughout North America. Our Arlington store has been a staple of the community for over 30 years. "We Bring People and Nature Together" is our mission and the very heart of our retail concept.
Position Requirements:
- Retail experience preferred but not required,
- Must have a desire to deliver high energy customer service,
- Must be able to consistently lift 20-50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and spend extended periods of time on your feet.
- Comfortable with computers and able to use a computer-based POS system (training provided).
- We are open 7 days a week and are currently seeking candidates who are interested in a part time position.
- Must be available Thursdays from 9am-11am to help unpack our weekly delivery.
Sales Associate Responsibilities:
- Our goal is to provide quality products, service, expertise and a high-energy shopping experience.
- Understand and communicate the store’s merchandise through our training program,
- Process transactions at the Point of Sale and cash handling after a training period,
- Must carry bags of seed (20lbs.) out to the customer's vehicle,
- Demonstrates a positive, enthusiastic and professional demeanor,
- Performs clerical duties and other projects as assigned,
- Maintains good housekeeping standards to present a clean store,
- Restocking of merchandise and maintaining adequate inventory levels,
- Accurate accounting of all cash, charge receipts and bank deposits.
