Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role is crucial in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and be committed to promoting the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children. You will work closely with children in a classroom setting, implementing engaging activities that support their growth and learning.
Duties
- Help open and/or close- welcoming families and children, giving end of day reports and working on cleaning and food prep tasks as needed.
- Giving breaks to teachers- stepping in to continue the work they were engaged in from diapering, serving meals, supporting rest time, or supervising play.
- Provide individualized support to children based on their unique needs and developmental stages.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills and emotional development.
- Offer nap time support to resting children and quietly completing cleaning tasks.
- Working full day hours as needed to substite for teachers when they are out.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
