Position Summary: This person will bring our brand to life on the ground and in stores with a creative, innovative approach that supports growth of Wild Planet and drives in-store velocity. Responsible for developing and supporting an established base of natural retail accounts with the goal of expanding the Wild Planet product line and generating sales growth within their dedicated territory. This role will consist of calling leads, prospecting for new leads, building relationships, winning new accounts, cultivating more sales from current accounts, and educating our retail partners and customers. Must reside in New York Tri-State area.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales Support
- Manage dedicated territory (New York Tri-State area), visit assigned retail accounts on a schedule rotation.
- Execute and achieve area goals to increase distribution, fill voids, and sales with new placements and quarterly case stack deals.
- Educate retailers on Wild Planet mission and product line.
- Merchandise retail accounts to optimize brand exposure.
- Conduct in store resets, build product displays, add new items, optimize shelf placement, and add POS on store shelves.
- Take pictures of product on retail shelves to ensure proper presentation and availability.
- Auditing retailers shelf presence for adequate inventory, competitive price point, number of product facings, positioning of products, and execution of promotions.
- Complete daily GoSpotCheck/ field mission at each store visit.
- Submit weekly sales report in a timely manner to show wins and top highlights to track progress.
- Attend trade shows as needed.
Coordination and execution of in-person demos
- Execute 2-3 in store product demonstrations on a weekly basis.
- Coordination with store managers and Field Marketing Manager on schedules, product levels, and follow demo guidelines.
- Create a unique customer experience to increase brand awareness and build customer loyalty.
- Keep record of products sold and capture demo results by timely reporting all pertinent info into GoSpotCheck/demo mission.
- Attend consumer events/expo/distributor shows as required.
- Able to work some weekends and have a flexible schedule for occasional early morning start times and late evening events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalency is required
- A minimum of 3-5 years of successful Retail Sales and/or Consumer Goods experience preferred
- Industry / Retail Knowledge preferred
- Computer skills with Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc) required
- Ability to embrace change and new ways of working

Compensation:
- Salary $68,000-72,000 depending on experience
- Bonus potential, excellent benefits (401K, Health Insurance, etc).
