POSITION SUMMARY
The Landscape Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation, and site development projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret project plans and specifications effectively. The Estimator will collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project proposals are aligned with company objectives and customer expectations. This position plays a vital role in securing new business and ensuring the financial success of awarded projects.

OBJECTIVES
- Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine scope and feasibility.
- Perform material takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Obtain and analyze pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
- Prepare and submit professional proposals, ensuring estimates align with company pricing strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the estimating process, addressing questions and negotiating pricing.
- Assist is building long-term relationships with commercial property managers, general contractors, and developers to secure future projects.
- Follow up on submitted bids and proposals to address questions, negotiate pricing, and close deals.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to negotiate better pricing and terms and to obtain accurate pricing.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, permits, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to confirm project feasibility and profitability.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and historical cost data for future reference.
- Assist in the project handoff process to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to execution.
COMPETENCIES

- Capable of assessing challenges and proposing cost-effective solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3 years of experience as an Estimator
- Degree relative to industry i.e. Architecture - Preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to conduct site assessments, which may involve walking, bending, or standing for extended periods on uneven terrain or construction sites.
- Occasionally lift and carry materials, samples, or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
