Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, inventory control, and team management while maintaining a focus on fine dining quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting effective communication.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement menus that reflect culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, and tracking food supplies to minimize waste.
- Supervise food preparation activities to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service between the kitchen and dining area.
- Monitor kitchen budgets and expenses, making adjustments as necessary to maintain profitability.
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role within a restaurant or fine dining setting is essential.
- Strong background in team management and supervising culinary staff.
- Familiarity with food management practices, including inventory control and budgeting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
