What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscaper position at Wilderness Hotel and Resort Inc?
SUMMARY: Landscapers are part of the Maintenance Department for Wilderness at the Smokies. The job of a landscaper is to maintain all aspects of the outdoors grounds area on property in a professional matter. Wilderness at the Smokies properties include but are not limited to River Lodge, Stone Hill Lodge, Villas, Offsite Laundry, Employee Housing and Soaky Mountain Waterpark.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: (Level 1) Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY: (Level 1) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Lifting Activities:
p. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds with assistance

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Maintain all landscaping areas keeping them cut and trimmed as needed
- Maintain all flower beds and trees by placing seed and/or fertilizer as needed
- Ensures parking lot and side areas clear from leaves
- Remove all obstructions from the outdoor areas that could create an unsafe situation which include but not limited to removing all river slick rocks from the parking lot and placing them back in its original location
- Maintain all sidewalks to ensure there are no slipping hazards
- Any other duty assigned by manager

- Tennessee Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
