What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soaky Mountain AEMT/Safety Paramedic position at Wilderness Resort?
SUMMARY: Safety employees tend to any/all injuries on Soaky Property for guests and staff within their medical license (AEMT or Paramedic). Safety is responsible for park walks to check on all areas of the park.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Provide basic clinical life support, emergency care services and basic first aid to park guests and staff
Provide examination and screening of guests/staff within regulations, company policies and Medical Director protocols
Lift and place patients on stretchers, golf carts, stair chairs or into an ambulance
Maintain adequate medical supply inventory
Complete all reports for any care given
Complete park walks and reports
Assist with facility inspections and safety audits
Perform all duties in a safe, courteous, confidential and professional manner
Conform to all safety rules and regulations
Maintain a valid Advanced EMT or Paramedic License
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Level 3
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Level 3
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Level 2
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Level 4
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Tennessee Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
Advanced EMT or Paramedic License
