Position Overview: The Wilding Brands Director of Quality is responsible for all QA/QC operations within the centralized lab, which supports production and quality standards for both the Lafayette cidery/winery production facility, the Denver brewery production facility, and multiple taproom breweries. This role includes developing and implementing protocols to ensure consistency and excellence across all beverage types while collaborating with production teams to uphold our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control & Testing: Develop and execute centralized QC procedures and sampling plans across Beer, Cider, Wine, RTD Cocktails, and Seltzer production; conduct regular lab analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Process Oversight: Ensure all production processes at the cidery/brewery facilities meet established quality specifications and standards.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Maintain comprehensive records and conduct analysis across all products, identifying trends and offering insights for quality improvement.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor production quality leads at both facilities on testing protocols, best practices, and quality standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all lab and facility quality operations comply with health and safety regulations across a multi-site setup.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead R&D projects focused on quality improvements across the portfolio; implement best practices aligned with industry advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of quality control experience, ideally within beverage production or food science.
- Proficiency in lab equipment and testing techniques across multi-beverage production.
- Data analysis and statistical software experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to industry best practices.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 - Depending on experience
