WildSide is a 900-acre outdoor adventure park guided offering UTV tours and pedal assist, electric mountain bike rentals. We are seeking passionate and experienced Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) Tour Guides to lead thrilling off-road adventures for our customers. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants throughout the tour. This position involves leading UTV tours through scenic and challenging terrains, requiring a combination of customer service skills, off-road driving expertise, and a dedication to creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Tour Leadership: Lead UTV tours, ensuring all participants are briefed on safety protocols, equipped with necessary gear, and informed about the tour itinerary.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to tour participants, addressing any questions, concerns, or special requests before, during, and after the tour.
- Safety Management: Ensure the safety of all tour participants by adhering to safety guidelines, demonstrating proper UTV operation techniques, and promptly addressing any safety issues that may arise.
- Host and Interpretation: Conduct engaging experiences that include instruction, flora/ fauna interpretation and capturing tour photos.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections of UTV equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergencies or accidents during tours by implementing appropriate first aid procedures, coordinating with emergency services if necessary, and maintaining calm and professionalism at all times.
- Environmental Stewardship: Educate tour participants on the importance of responsible off-road driving practices and environmental conservation efforts to minimize ecological impact.
- Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Off-Road Driving Experience: Experience in off-road driving techniques, with a strong understanding of UTV mechanics and handling dynamics. Previous experience leading off-road tours is desirable.
- Safety Consciousness: Prioritize the safety of tour participants by maintaining a vigilant attitude towards potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of touring up to ten hours per day, traversing rugged terrain, and assisting participants with physical tasks such as vehicle maneuvering and equipment handling.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment, assisting colleagues as needed and contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Certifications: Possess relevant certifications such as CPR/First Aid, UTV operator certification, and related education considered a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a 4-day work week, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate tour schedules and customer demand.
