Requirements

    Education/Experience/Skills

• Associates degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• OR High School Diploma/GED & 2 years related experience.

 Computer

• Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software

Who we are looking for: 
 A dedicated Human Resources Specialist to provide administrative, compliance and clerical support to needed to support the Human Resources department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned

•  Workers’ Compensation
  • Acts as Primary contact for injury reporting for the Agency.
  • Coordinates and reviews reports for completeness; contacts staff/supervisors for needed information; enters reports in databases
  • Updates HR Representatives on the status of injured staff

• Leave Management
  • Assists HR Representatives with leave-related paperwork and tracking & answers employee questions regarding leaves or completing paperwork

• Performance Appraisals
  • Acts as Primary contact for agency performance appraisals (90 Day, Annual, etc).
  • Receives/collects completed appraisals, reviews and contacts supervisors for clarifying information; enters into database and personnel folder 
  • Collaborates with the Training Department to run reports to stay updated on who has not submitted the performance appraisals for their employees

• License Event Notification System (LENS) administration
  • Reviews notifications from the NYS Dept of Motor Vehicles for active staff; Logs transactions for billing purposes
  • Follows up on suspensions, accidents, expirations, and out of state licenses with staff and Updates License Status in Paycom 
  • Communicates with employees and management when an update impacts an employee’s ability to drive agency vehicles.

• Employee Separation Processing
  • Processes employee terminations in the HR system, including notifications and removal of clearances; sends exit interviews to all terminating employees; tracks exit interview data and reports it quarterly.

• HR Department Organization
  • Assists with employee filing projects for both active and terminated staff 
  • Assists with internal audits of files and paperwork
  • Supports the CHRO & Director with administrative needs including faxing,
