Position Overview:
We are seeking a Paint Shop Service Tech to join our team at our Shiloh, IL location. This full-time position will primarily involve working in our paint shop environment, where you will be responsible for painting, staining, and finishing wood and fiberglass doors, trim, stair parts, and windows. In addition to shop duties, you will also perform field service calls to residential customers to touch up paint and stain on windows and doors and make minor repairs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, stain, and paint wood and fiberglass doors, trim, stair parts, and windows to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Sand, prime, prep/finish doors windows and trim, ensuring consistent and professional results.
  • Perform touch-up work on residential windows and doors, both inside and outside customer homes.
  • Make minor repairs to windows and doors as needed during field service calls.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work environment in the paint shop, ensuring tools and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
  • Safely operate power tools, spray systems, and ladders.
  • Provide excellent customer service during field service calls, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
  • Document work completed in the field and communicate with team members regarding job progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in painting, staining, and finishing wood and fiberglass surfaces is required.
  • Ability to operate HVLP spray systems and other related painting equipment a definite plus.
  • Experience with general window and door repairs is a plus.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 90 lbs., bending, and working from ladders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must be comfortable driving a service truck to residential customer locations.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, with day shifts
