Job Summary:
The Solid Surface Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing solid surface materials for commercial millwork applications. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in working with solid surface materials, and the ability to interpret shop drawings to create high-quality finished products.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Fabricate, cut, and assemble solid surface materials according to specifications and shop drawings.
- Use various hand tools, power tools, and equipment to shape, sand, and finish surfaces.
- Seam, bond, and polish solid surfaces to create smooth and seamless finishes.
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery and tools.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure final products meet company and client standards.
- Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with on-site installations when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in solid surface fabrication, millwork, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Strong understanding of solid surface materials, bonding techniques, and finishing methods, preferred but not required.
- Experience with hand tools, routers, sanders, and power saws.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
