Job Description:
Individual will be responsible for teaching the MISD-designed camp, in which students will engage with high-interest, science-based texts to develop vocabulary and critical thinking skills needed to engage in scientific inquiry. Students will also engage in science, engineering and art activities and investigations focused on developing rich content knowledge.

Teacher Days:?
- Student Program Dates: June 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27
- Pre-Program set-up: June 12; 9:00am-12:00pm (3 hours)
- Training (provided virtually and compensated by MISD); select one date: May 27, 4:00-6:00pm OR June 4, 4:00-6:00pm.

Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Exemplary experience in teaching elementary reading, writing and science
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and engage students
- “Can-do” attitude willing to reach out to families as needed to support attendance
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive professionals
- Must be available during the time requirements of the position
- Certification in CPR and first aid?required

Responsibilities:
- Provide effective instructional methods based on a daily schedule outlined in training
- Provide engaging instruction following the MISD provided lesson plans
- Maintain camp attendance records
- Plan appropriate instruction to support student needs?
- Supervise students during breakfast and lunch
