Expected Hiring Range: $62,000 - $76,000 annually
Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Assistant Practice Manager will assist in the supervision and daily on-going operation of a large or several small offices. This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining efficient office operation and work scheduling of all personnel as well as overseeing office activities to maintain optimum efficiency in appointing and caring for dental patients. This position will report to the Director of Operations.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.

Essential Position Functions
- Assist in the supervision of all activities of a dental office to ensure efficient and effective operation in the caring for dental patients.
- Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Ensure cost effectiveness of office operations.
- Arrange for staff coverage in Practice Manager’s absence.
- Assist Practice Manager in ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained and safety procedures are maintained. Ensure compliance with infection control and other regulations.
- Assist in seeing that doctor and hygiene schedules are maintained to optimize patient flow; assist in overseeing receipt and distribution of patient records.
- Assist in monitoring office budget, ordering of office and dental supplies and inventory control.
- Assist in responding to patient concerns and issues; assist in monitoring patient account adjustments and account information updating.
- Capably perform any duties of Care Advocate as the need arises.
- Ensure that all legal requirements are followed, e.g., HIPAA, FDA.
- Provide input for performance reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare administration and two years of company experience or three years of experience of working in a medical/dental office OR equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration is desirable.
