Position Summary:
Willamette Family Housing Programs provide a 6-month structured supportive environment for individuals and families who are progressing in their recovery. The Transitional Housing Specialist plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families transitioning out of residential treatment and into stable housing. This position requires a dedicated individual with strong case management and advocacy skills to provide comprehensive support and guidance to individuals and families navigating the complexities of housing and self-sufficiency.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct housing assessments, develop individualized service plans, and provide housing case management services to clients.
- Coach and support clients in the development of a strength-based/solution-focused action plan that promotes permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
- Provide in-home parenting supports
- Collaborate with WF staff and community resources (includes but is not limited to directors, managers/supervisors, clinical, childcare staff, and other community supports)
- Document and input client information according to organization policies and procedures (includes but is not limited to electronic file maintenance, client notes, logs, and rosters)
Location: Downtown Treatment Center/Housing Units
Compensation: $21/ hr
Shift Hours & Days: Monday through Friday
Position Type: Full-Time

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Ability to collaborate with Oregon Department of Human Services-Child Welfare
- Knowledge of local community housing resources
- Experience working with individuals in substance use disorder treatment services preferred
- Ability to pass all criminal background check and drug screen(s)
Skills and Ability Requirements :
- Position self to respond to individual needs (includes but is not limited to remaining in a stationary position, turning or lowering oneself, and moving about the facilities and community)
- Ability to drive for WF per WF policy (includes none of the below infractions within the last 3 years: Operating a motor vehicle during a time of suspension or revocation; Operating a motor vehicle without a license; Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; Careless driving; More than two moving violations in the past three years; More than two accidents in the past three years; More than one accident in any one year; Speeding over 80 miles per hour or 21 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.)
