SALES MANAGER who wants to join our team
The Sales and Marketing manager is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service including building inquiry base, initiate and carry out marketing calls by contacting discharge planners, social service workers, and other community professionals in the surrounding community area, and performing purposeful follow up.
Essential Functions: Visits and conducts presentations at doctors' offices, senior centers, clinics, and organizations for seniors distributing sales and collateral literature representing assigned community. Conducts home visits, offering an overview of the services, lifestyle, convenience and benefits of the community. Follows the company's sales process, guidelines, and philosophy. Completes appropriate database documentation, paperwork, and keeps executive director and department heads up to date on outreach plan, internal and external events. Represents the community in welcoming prospective residents, family members, referral sources and the public in a positive, helpful, and caring manner demonstrating community mission and philosophy. Maintains accurate database records in Blue step of professional referral sources. Prepares and distributes marketing reports in a timely and accurate manner as needed. Completes competitive analysis and every six (6) months or more often as requested. Attends business and community events where referral sources are in attendance. Ensures that when in the community the marketing area, model rooms and general appearance of the community are always clean, safe, and orderly and decorated in a pleasing and professional manner. Coaches and trains all staff on the tour process, phone skills, inquiry calls, first impressions and overall customer service. Ensures that the management team is communicated with on tours and admissions. Ensures that each potential admission meets the financial qualifications and is financially able to pay rent prior to admission. If payor source is Medicaid must ensure approval in writing from a caseworker prior to admission. Works with the clinical team to ensure that physician orders and evaluations are completed prior to admissions. Works with the business office to ensure that a contract signing meeting is set up prior to admission. For Memory Care Communities ensures that all prospective admissions have a diagnosis of Dementia and is assigned a POA or Guardian prior to admission or evaluation being scheduled. Performance Guidelines/Goals Average 10-20 sales outreach drop ins weekly- may use all managers to meet goal Average 4-6 scheduled outreach meetings monthly Average 8-12 home visits monthly – may use all managers to meet goal Average 4-6 email or fax blasts monthly Sales and Marketing Manager New leads- personal thank you cards, follow calls and home visits= 4-6 touches in the first 10-14 days Meet or exceed occupancy goals each month – minimum of 4 admissions month per Sales and Marketing Manager (1) referral event that is lead generating (1) community event that is lead generating Professional data base management in compliance Lead base management and data entry compliance Minimum of four admissions a month on average is required Acts as the person in charge in the absence of the Executive Director and other managers/department heads.
Summary of Minimum Qualifications Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the residents. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, surveyors, and the general public. Must have thorough knowledge of Oregon regulations as it pertains to the admission process. Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and senior care practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term care facilities. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. necessary for revenue growth. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm when interacting with staff, residents & visitors, etc. Must maintain good personnel relation and employee morale. Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications and other office equipment. Physical Requirements Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must Function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agendas. Must be in good health and demonstrate emotional stability. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people. Must be able to operate office/accounting machines. Universal Precautions Exposure to blood/bodily fluid is unlikely.
Sales and Marketing Manager Education and Experience Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing and sales preferably in health services related field. Must have completed or will complete leadership courses.
