Job Summary
The Data and Administrative Support Specialist provides essential support to undergraduate data specialists, administrative assistance to the Director of Admissions, and serves as a welcoming, professional presence for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position is supervised by the Director of Admissions.

- Assist the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.
- Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.

Specific duties are as follows:
- Support incoming student registration, admission file management, and updates within the Student Information System (SIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Process assigned documentation efficiently and accurately in the CRM and/or SIS. [IN-OFFICE USE: including but not limited to standardized test score reports, transcript distribution, miscellaneous document SharePoint, and weekly applicant accountability reviews.]
- Manage the Office of Undergraduate Admissions email account by processing submissions, researching internal and external inquiries and providing timely and
- professional communication, addressing concerns with appropriate encouragement or de-escalation.
- Assist the Director of Admissions with tasks, such as reporting, receipts, purchase orders, and in-office management.
- Supervise student workers by managing semester work schedules, assigning projects, conducting training, approving timesheets, and maintaining office manuals.
- Assist in executing events hosted by the Office of Recruitment as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the undergraduate Office of Undergraduate Admissions, providing assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Cross-train with the data specialist and application process coordinator to ensure seamless coverage of data-related responsibilities.
- Perform other tasks as necessary for the efficient operation of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Participate in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent professional experience as determined by the Director and Assistant Director of Admissions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with detail-oriented data entry
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in computer systems and database management
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
- Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
