Busy medical practice is seeking an experienced full-time front office administrative support & Medical Assistant. You must be computer and tech savvy, can continually multi-task and prioritize, be organized, problem solver, motivated, self-reliant, and communicate with patients, vendors and staff with a positive and professional manner, especially under pressure. We are an extremely busy medical office so being able to maintain excellent patient and vendor rapport by being helpful and personable is extremely important. At least one-year experience working in a medical office setting required. Must have experience with Practice Fusion, Kareo and Updox.

Salary: $15-$16 /hr DOE
Hours: Monday-Wednesday 8:45am-5:15pm, Thursday-Friday 7:45am-4:15pm
Location: Newport Beach, near Hoag Hospital
Start date: Immediate opening

Responsibilities; include but are not limited to following:
Assist the medical practice with daily office tasks, telephones, correspondence, emails, faxing, scheduling, reception, front and back office duties.
Checking patients in/out, efficiently collect copay’s/deductibles, process paperwork and patient orders. Reviewing the physicians note and providing the patient with a copy of the treatment plan.
Appointment setting, ability to manage a busy/multi-physician practice schedule.
Insurance verification, confirm eligibility, copay/deductible amount, effective date, bill to address and identify guarantor to efficiently submit claims for billing.
Answering, screening and replying to phone calls on a multi-line phone system
Liaise with all patients on follow-ups, orders and scheduling.
Properly and completely prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments.
Room patients; must be familiar with taking a patient’s vitals.
Must have experience/be familiar with Prior Authorizations. Properly submit, follow-up and process denials/appeals for Office, Procedure and Medication Prior Authorization requests.
Properly process specimen and send out to laboratory.
Prior Authorizations for medications, appointments or procedures.

Must be able to keep clean/organized all work areas, patient records/files, materials and keep staff/business updated and troubleshoot the workplace on a regular basis.
