Job Title: Assistant Vice President / Director of Operations
The Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OIDEI) seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Vice President / Director of Operations.
OIDEI works to ensure the campus is an inclusive space where all students, faculty, and staff can thrive by eliminating harmful bias and discrimination, closing opportunity gaps, and advancing critical conversations and initiatives that promote inclusion and equity on campus and beyond.
The AVP will possess a deep knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion matters and represent the Office in meetings. They will also serve as a connector between various functions and individuals in the Office, facilitating strategy development, assessing program impact, overseeing communications, and integrating OIDEI's work to positively impact the community.
The successful candidate will excel at working in a diverse community with regard to race, ethnicity, economic status, gender, disability status, gender expression, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion. Effective collaboration and communication with different individuals, offices, and departments on campus are essential.
In this role, the AVP will have opportunities to manage projects from inception to completion, utilize data to assess constituents' needs, develop communications plans, collaborate on strategic planning, design educational workshops, provide leadership to the executive administrator(s) and program coordinator(s), supervise post-graduate and student fellows, manage the Office's budget, cultivate strong relationships across identities and positionalities, and serve as a liaison between the Office and the campus community.
This is a full-time, year-round appointment with occasional evening and weekend hours required. A bachelor's degree is required (advanced degree preferred), with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Flexible working arrangements may be possible, but the expectation is that the individual hired will carry out much of their work in-person.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, within the range of $110,000-$130,000.
