Description

We are looking for a qualified Cabinetmaker according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. The ideal candidate will have strong woodworking skills and an eye for detail. This position is responsible for delivering cabinets that are secure and aesthetically pleasing, meeting very specific guidelines. While working alongside other members of our building team, this individual will be able to put their carpentry skills to use in an environment where their experience and insight will be sincerely valued.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client
  • Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference
  • Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools
  • Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions
  • Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and order replacement materials when needed
  • Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units
  • Reinforce joints and attachments to maximize sturdiness and durability without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality
  • Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Cabinetmaker
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry and cabinetry materials
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Good understanding of basic math
  • Good physical condition and endurance
  • High school diploma

  • Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull object(s) weighing up to 75lbs.
  • Climb ladders and work from heights as necessary
  • Work outdoors/indoors, subject to changing conditions and temperatures, sometimes exceeding 90 degrees
  • Driving a vehicle to conduct work
  • Regular exposures to fumes, dust, odors and loud noises
