A harvest internship is an excellent opportunity to work closely with our winemaking team and play a crucial role in crafting our wines.
New Winery Facility
In 2025, we will be making wine in our newly constructed harvest facility in Healdsburg, California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all standard winery analyses, including Brix, pH, TA, CO2, VA, alcohol, and enzymatic techniques for MA, G/F, NOPA, and NH3.
- Collect wine and juice samples for tasting and analysis.
- Monitor tank fermentation for Brix and temperature.
- Prepare and standardize reagents.
- Maintain and calibrate all laboratory equipment.
- Enter data into Excel and Innovint.
- Generate reports with Innovint and Excel.
- Assist in cultivating and inoculating yeast and malolactic cultures.
- Help with wine additions in tanks and barrels.
- Support cellar tasks, such as punch downs, topping, cleaning, etc.
Requirements:
- At least one harvest of lab experience and previous cellar experience is preferred.
- BS in Enology/Chemistry or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of winemaking and viticulture.
- Ability to climb, bend, stand for prolonged lengths of time, and be able to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to work long, flexible hours through busy harvest time.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age by start of internship.
- Ability to legally work in the USA.
