Accounting Analyst II - Property

As an Accounting Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in supporting accounting functions within our organization. Your responsibilities will include compiling and Interpreting financial Information for management decision making; as well as, looking for ways to optimize business processes through technology and automation, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs. Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Prepares monthly analysis of depreciation, accretion, asset retirement obligations, and other property, plant and equipment account balances
• Collaborates with project managers to identify assets constructed and associated costs; reviews asset allocations for reasonableness
• Reviews project data to identify issues, researches appropriate solutions and works closely with partners to implement changes and solutions
• Assist with property accounting tasks associated with acquisitions/divestitures
• Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
• Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
• Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
• Participates as a project team member and a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation

Education/Years of Experience:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two (2) years experience in accounting in the energy industry
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Preferred: Prior experience in property accounting
• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
• Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments
