Responsibilities/Expectations:
As an Accounting Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in supporting accounting functions within our organization. Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Prepares monthly analysis of depreciation, accretion, asset retirement obligations, and other property, plant and equipment account balances
- Collaborates with project managers to identify assets constructed and associated costs; reviews asset allocations for reasonableness
- Reviews project data to identify issues, researches appropriate solutions and works closely with partners to implement changes and solutions
- Assist with property accounting tasks associated with acquisitions/divestitures
- Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
- Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
- Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
- Participates as a project team member and a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two (2) years experience in accounting in the energy industry
- Preferred: Prior experience in property accounting
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
- Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills
