What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler I/II position at Williams?
The Scheduler II is responsible for ensuring that all scheduling processes take place in an accurate and timely manner with regard to pipeline and department cutoffs. This role will analyze data, monitor and reconcile imbalances, set up make-up / pay-back schedules with appropriate shippers, and initiate settlements. Responsibilities / Expectations :
- Nominates storage activity for the storage company electronic bulletin board (EBB) and internal gas management systems for optimization activities; nominates natural gas communications with traders
- Communicates with customer on daily requirements and cultivates relationships with scheduling counterparts of customers and pipeline representatives to ensure operational integrity; schedules daily volumes for producer and buyer contracts
- Accesses and accurately populates a pipeline EBB
- Recommends market area supply alternatives and storage strategies; tracks storage injections, withdrawals, and balances
- Confirms daily and monthly nominations with storage company pipeline interconnects
- Confirms physical volume activity is accurate; re-confirms bi-weekly and month end volumes via interconnecting pipeline EBB’s
- Collaborates with gas accountants to establish and implement invoice procedures; updates database to prepare invoices and statements; assists in resolution of billing discrepancies and responds to questions regarding term transactions
- Communicates rate, tariff, fuel rate, and operational conditions to front office; contacts gas producers and buyers to verify their requirements
- Other duties as assigned
