Overview
We are seeking a Business and Finance Manager for the day-to-day financial operations in our large church.
Responsibilities
- Administration of accounting and contribution systems
- Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
- Perform cash management functions
- Prepare financial reports monthly for the church, and for all ministries, and as requested
- Maintain all official records of the church, including personnel files and vendor contracts
- Assist with vendor and contract negotiations
- Supervision of Bookkeeper, to include payroll, accounts payable, and donations
- Interact with members of the church congregation regarding financial issues
- Evaluate financial processes and advise Finance Committee on needed improvements
- Other duties related to church finance
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to direct, supervise and delegate while fostering a spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect
- Commitment to the mission and values of our church
- Experience with use and administration of financial software systems
