OPTICIAN JOB SUMMARY: Williamson Eye Center is seeking a friendly and motivated optician to join our growing team! The right candidate has exceptional communication skills, is customer service orientated and enjoys working with patients. This is a multi-faceted role that includes direct patient care as well as administrative duties such as verifying vision insurance and placing optical orders. Responsibilities and Duties (included but not limited to):
- Educate and assist patients with eye care needs based on prescription, lifestyle, occupation and hobbies.
- Accurately fit, measure, and dispense patient eyewear by engaging in patient education and frame selection.
- Perform accurate fittings for eyeglasses and contact lenses based on prescription specifications; operate necessary technology and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and team members.
- Work with optical management on inventory selection and frame board management.
Required Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to pleasantly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Excellent computer skills including use of standard office programs
- Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner
Position Qualifications:
- Work experience:
- Optical experience preferred, but not required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
