What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1.0 TOSA Instructional Technology Coach position at Williamsville Central School District?
Dates of assignment: 2025-2026 school year (annual appointment)
Qualifications include, but are not limited to, teaching experience, specialized training, demonstrated ability to work with peers and supervisors and the demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct students in relation to the posted position. Additional qualifications as follows:
REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid NYS Certificate as a teacher with a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience and tenure earned in the current position
- Strong communication, problem solving, and human relations skills
- Successful experience in collaborating with colleagues
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- Self-directed
- Experience in working with instructional technology integration
- Experience in the development and/or implementation of district curriculum
- Philosophical compatibility with the stated mission and beliefs of the school district
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Assumes leadership responsibilities in district and building-based efforts to design and implement technology integration strategies to support improved student achievement.
- Maintain positive staff relationships and collaborate with Directors, building administrators, and teams to determine curricular focus, need, and implementation of pertinent technology integration strategies.
- Assumes leadership responsibilities in organizing, assessing, designing and implementing appropriate professional development activities to support faculty and staff in infusing technology to support the curriculum.
- Understands and supports technology components in alignment with NYS and District priorities.
- Contributes to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the District Technology Plan.
- Stays abreast of current trends and research in technology integration.
- Participates in district, BOCES, or other appropriate training activities to build knowledge and skills, which includes required Professional Development as articulated by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
- Collaborates with the Director of Professional Learning and the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction to assist in planning for district-wide professional development activities which support technology integration.
- Provides support to schools and the District in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment as articulated by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
- Collaborates with the Assistive Technology Team, as needed, to support students with learning needs, to implement recommended tools/devices, and assist staff to apply universal design principles when selecting technology integration strategies.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as directed by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Instruction
SALARY: $41,040 - $52, 800 WTA schedule appropriate to education and experience.
Additionally, 1/200 for up to 10 days between last student day and first student day. Other days and/or additional time as determined by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. This is a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) position.
WORK CALENDAR: The teacher work year plus up to ten days.
