Non-certified Substitute Teachers
This is a per diem position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
To supervise and instruct students in the absence of a teacher to ensure the continuity of student learning and maintaining classroom order.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed Student Teaching* AND have a recommendation from supervising teacher and/or student teacher advisor; OR
- Must have a Bachelor's degree**
- Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Dept. of Education.
- Substitutes who have completed their student teaching and are working towards certification (taking college coursework) at a rate of not less than six semester hours per year, may work unlimited days.
**Substitutes without a valid certification and who are not working towards certification can work a maximum of 40 days per school year. Actual number of days permitted to work is dependent on current NYS Dept. of Education Guidelines.

SUBSTITUTE ORIENTATION:
Before being added to the Substitute Teacher list, you must complete all paperwork and view an online orientation. Once your references have been checked, you will receive an e-mail with detailed instructions regarding picking up a paperwork packet and viewing the orientation.

Substitute Teacher - Non-Certified $120/day
