What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Paint Manager position at Willis Custom Yachts?
- Manage multiple service painting projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the paint team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure all painting work meets company and industry quality standards through regular inspections and adherence to best practices.
- Work with the Business Development and Project Management team regarding painting services, addressing concerns, and providing updates on project progress.
- Oversee the procurement and inventory of painting materials and equipment, ensuring availability for all projects.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities for improving painting processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in marine painting are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in marine painting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

- Work is performed in a marine and industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying weather conditions.

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary.
